The purpose of a flow restrictor is to limit or control the flow of gas. This element is always monitoring the status of the installation. Our LDC – Flow Control Valve incorporates a weak gauge gas pressure tap to facilitate gas pressure monitoring for accurate and reliable measurement. The same applies if a breakdown or any other type of incident is suddenly detected. In this case, and due to the possibility that a serious incident could lead to a failure or even an explosion, the flow limiter will shut off the gas flow.

In short, an LDC with a pressure tap is a safety mechanism. Since it closes when it detects an increase in gas volume above the set value, it protects the installation from malfunctions and deflagrations. Therefore, it improves safety and offers peace of mind apart from allowing gas measurement upon inspection.
