Gas pressure tapping device that prevents micro-leaks, resistant to pressures up to 2 bar.
These plugs are certified in the Applus+ laboratory report number 20/3661304 in aging and pressure tests up to 3 bar (the maximum working pressure for this type of pressure tapping is 150 mbar).
Its usefulness is to avoid micro leaks generated in the metallic seal between the brass sealing screw and its inner housing of the weak gauge pressure tap, which is also metallic (brass). These micro leaks are not detected neither by means of the pressure gauge nor by using soapy water, but they are detected with METHANE detectors with the problems that this generates.
Advantages
When a certified plug is installed in a pressure port, it does not have to be removed for leak testing by the inspection.
